Literary Texts

Literary texts will demonstrate the following characteristics

They will have real, not controlled language that makes sense beyond sentence level
they will be rich in words and/or images
they will be multi-layered
they will be intellectually challenging
they will provocative of emotional responses
they will represent life in an artistic manner rather than an everyday one (Ewing, 2010)
